Favourite coffee spot? HYDE Bellingen is a super cute spot, although I surprisingly have never had coffee! I do, however, love coffee-flavoured ice cream. I know, I know... I'm a weirdo!
Favourite places for grab and go lunches? Kombu Wholefoods. They have great snacks and fresh produce. Be sure to pick up delicious Yum Bar on your way out!
Favourite place for a dine in dinner? Za’atar Bellingen. I pigged out on multiple Malawach rolls when I visited, which is a traditional Yemen pastry filled with tahini, Israeli salad, amba sauce and pickles. Salivating as I type this.
Favourite activities? Exploring the Wonga walk and spotting multiple lyrebirds. It’s a beautiful loop, perfect for all ages. Make sure you also stop by the Crystal Shower Falls, Danger Falls and the Promise Land creek.
Favourite spot for sunrise and sunset? The Lodge Bellingen. When I stayed here, I would wake up at every sunrise, listen to the birds and go pet the alpacas.
Favourite time of year there and why? Spring! Less crowds and everything is full of life.
How can people best support the region? Don't litter! Try to be mindful of your waste and respect the land. Always take your rubbish with you.
